Cossart Gordon is het oudste huis in Madeira, opgericht in 1745 door William Gordon en Francis Newton.
In 1808 kwam de Schot William Cossart erbij. Nu is Cossart Gordon onderdeel van het familiebedrijf de
Madeira Wine Company dat ook Blandy’s bezit.
De stijl van Cossart Gordon is de meest droge van alle huizen en ze bezitten een geweldige verfijning.

Cossart Gordon is the oldest house in Madeira, founded in 1745 by William Gordon and Francis Newton. In 1808, the Scot William Cossart joined. Now Cossart Gordon is part of the family business of the Madeira Wine Company that also owns Blandy.
