Een zeer warm jaar in de Dourovallei. Warre heeft in 2003 meer kracht dan in veel andere jaren waarin vooral de elegantie de boventoon voert. Maar het eindresultaat is zoals altijd bij de familie Symington van hoge klasse. Overigens is 2003 het eerste jaar dat de wijn gemaakt is in een gerobotiseerde lagares ( de druiven zijn niet meer met blote voeten getreden maar met op en neer bewegende peddels ) in de gemoderniseerde kelder van Quinta da Cavadinha.
