Villard, Casablanca Valley, Chili

 The Chilean winery Villard produces high quality Reserva  wines in small quantities. Owner Thierry Villard takes the greatest possible care to produce relatively small quantities of top wines. The Exprésion Reserve contains five white as red wines. The Grand Vin is in white a Chardonnay and in red a Pinot Noir mat a high quality and ripening and fermentation on oak barrels.. The Assembly is a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot., Thierry also produces a dessert wine of Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc grapes affected by noble rot. This dessert wine is best compared to a rich Sauternes.
