In de warmere streek Paso Robles groeien de druiven voor deze wijn. Het druivenras Petite Sirah geeft een heerlijke, krachtige maar toch ook ronde wijn met naast het rode fruit ook een zekere kruidigheid. Mede door de rijping gedurende 18 maanden op Franse eikenhouten vaten ( Het dikbuikige Bourgogne type ) heeft deze wijn zijn zachte romige tonen.
