Diep donkkerrood van kleur. In de geur en smaak zwarte bessen, braam en framboos, iets van zwarte peper, de vanilletonen van het eikenhout. Volle rijke smaak. Mount Veeder in Napa Valley is dé plek van Donald Hess. de prachtige wijnomgeving inspireerde hem om zijn twee grote passies, wijn maken en kunst verzamelen te combineren. Zijn wijnen hebben het kenmerkende Californische karakter, maar zijn net wat eleganter dan de meeste andere wijnen. Sinds 1999 werkt Hess samen met wijnmaker Dave Guffy.
