Let op: dit is een magnum 1500ml. Quinta do Vesuvio, eigendom van de Symington familie sinds 1989, wordt met recht een iconische quinta genoemd.
De in totaal 400 ha aan wijngaarden van dit grote domein liggen verspreid over 7 heuvels, en hebben een uitzonderlijk terroir. Voor de rode wijnen heeft men hier Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca en Tinta Amarela aangeplant, waarvan voornamelijk Touriga Nacional. De druiven voor de Quinta do Vesuvio Tinto, die overigens nog steeds met blote voeten in de oude stenen lagares worden getreden, zijn afkomstig van de oude “Quinta Nova” wijngaard op een hoogte tussen 110 en 450 meter.

Quinta do Vesuvio is owned by the Symington family. In addition to this Quinta, where only a Vintage port is made, the main port houses in their possession are Dow's and Warre.
