Let op: jaargang op foto wijkt af. Gemaakt van maar één druivensoort, de Touriga Nacional die groeit in de wijngaard met de naam Vinha dos Novos. Deze wijngaard heeft veel graniet in de bodem.

Quinta do Vale Meão is located in the east of the Douro, towards the Spanish border. The Olazabal family makes both wine and port here. Portuguese grape varieties such as Touriga Franca play an important role in the red wines.
