Een zeer aparte wijn gemeekt van maar één druivensoort, de "Baga". Deze druif groeit in de wijngaard met de naam Vingha da Cantina en heeft een bodem met veel graniet.

Quinta do Vale Meão is located in the east of the Douro, towards the Spanish border. The Olazabal family makes both wine and port here. Portuguese grape varieties such as Touriga Franca play an important role in the red wines.
