Op Quinta do Pégo, eigendom van de Deen Karsten Sondergaard, maakt men een heerlijke L.B.V. met een diepe intens rode kleur, in de geur en smaak rode bessen, braam, amandelen en kruidigheid en ferme tannine's. Op Quinta do Pégo maakt men alleen "Vintage", "Late Bottled Vintage" en in bijzondere jaren een "Colheita" port (2003 en 2007).

The producer
Quinta do Pégo, port
Quint do Pédo is located 3 kilometers south of the village of Pinhão in a very nice place above the river Douro. The place and the vineyards surrounding it (all in the upper A-class) made Karsten Sondergaard decide to buy this winery in 2000. He created a beautiful hotel and managed to make the most of it in 2010 by being selected as the best hotel for international wine tourism.
