Karsten Sondergaard, de eigenaar van dit porthuis annex hotel, Maakt een krachtige Colheita met karakter. Karsten maakt op zijn quinta alleen maar L.B.V. en Vintage port en een klein beetje Colheita. De 2016 is de laatste Colheita die hij heeft gemaakt, zicht op een nieuwe jaargang is er nog niet maar deze gaat zeker wel komen. De 2016 heeft acht jaar gerijpt op houten vaten en is gebottteld in 2024 Een port om de natte herfstdagen mee door te komen.

The producer
Quinta do Pégo, port
Quint do Pédo is located 3 kilometers south of the village of Pinhão in a very nice place above the river Douro. The place and the vineyards surrounding it (all in the upper A-class) made Karsten Sondergaard decide to buy this winery in 2000. He created a beautiful hotel and managed to make the most of it in 2010 by being selected as the best hotel for international wine tourism.
