De druiven voor deze wijn komen van de beste wijngaarden van Quinta do Crasto. De druiven worden eerst met de voeten getreden alvorens de worden overgepompt naar open roestvrijstalen tanks waar de fermentatie plaats vind. De wijn rijpt 18 maanden in Franse eikenhouten vaten. Dit is een complexe wijn die gebaat is bij enkele jaren flesrijping. De gebruikte druivensoort is Touriga Franca, deze geeft een wijn met een krachtige smaak maar met vodoende verfijning en de mogelijkheid om nog vele jaren door te rijpen in uw kelder.

The producer
Quinta do Crasto, port en dourowijn
Quinta do Crasto is family property of the Roquette family, The (port) wines are made exclusively from grapes of own vineyards. The farmhouse is beautifully located on the steep slopes along the Douro river about 15 minutes away from Pinhão. The quinta is in many ways a unique company, all employees also live on the farm and a large vegetable garden provides everyone with vegetables.
