Deze dessertwijn uit de Gascogne wordt gemaakt van de iets onbekendere druivensoorten Petit Courbu, Arrufiac, Petit Manseng en Gros Manseng. De wijn krijgt zijn zoetheid door de late oogst, rond half november. ook het grote verschil in dag en nachttemperatuur geeft een diversiteit aan smaken. Heerlijk bij desserts, maar ook bij pâté van bv. eend of gans. De wijn is vergist en gerijpt op eikenhouten vaten.
