Dirk van de Niepoort maakt altijd kwalitatief goede portwijnen. Deze Colheita heeft 12 jaar gerijpt op eikenhouten vaten voordat de botteling volgde. Het best te vergelijken met een 10 Years Old tawny alleen heeft deze portwijn meer karakter en is minder afgerond en fluwelig. Juist deze extra kracht maakt deze port tot een belevenis .
