Gebotteld in 2017. Na een rijping van 40 jaar in het Canteiro systeem is deze wijn in 2017 op fles gegaan. van deze Madeira zijn 1.506 enkele flessen gebotteld. De Amerikaanse eikenhouten vaten met wijn zijn na drie jaar op de bovenste etage steeds naar iet lager gelegen etages verhuisd, om voor de laatste en langste periode van rijping te eindigen op de eerste etage. Diepe mahonie bruine kleur met nog iets van groen in de rand. Zeer intens aroma , mat tonen van kruiden, balsamico, noten, gedroogd fruit en walnootpellen. een geconcentreerde halfzoete smaak, rond met een erg lange afdronk waarin ook weer kruiden gedroogd fruit en exotisch hout.

The producer
Blandy's, Madeira
Blandy's is part of the Madeira Wine Company, a family business of the Blandy's family with among others the brands Blandy's, Cossart-Gordon, Leacock's and Miles. Since 1811 the family has been present in the trade and production of Madeira wines, Chris Blandy the current CEO is the seventh generation. In the heart of Funchal, the family has its wine lodge in an old seventeenth-century monastery.
