Grignolino is een apart druivenras. Het geeft een licht gekleurde rode wijn met een ferme smaak en een verfrissend zuur. Dit maakt de wijn geschikt om iets gekoeld te drinken, schrik niet van de aanwezige tannine's maar verlicht deze door er een lekkere ham, harde kaas of licht vleesgerecht bij te eten.
