De druiven voor deze wijn komen van meer dan 50 jaar oude stokken van de Quinta de São Luiz. de gebruikte druivenrassen zijn Touriga Nacional en Sousão. De wijn heeft een rijping van 18 maanden op Franse eikenhouten vaten ondergaan en van deze jaargang zijn maar 2362 flessen gebotteld waarvan 2162 flessen op 0.75Ltr. fles. de andere 200 flessen zijn op 1.50Ltr fles gebotteld.
