De streek Cigales ligt in het midden van Spanje noordwestelijk van Madrid. Het gebruikte druivenras is Tempranillo. Het is een krachtige rode wijn met een ferme smaak waarin het hout van de rijping op eikenhouten vaten duidelijk aanwezig is. Het is een warme wijn met een ronde, volle smaak. Heerlijk bij een stuk vlees van de barbeque of grill.
