In 2019 heeft de familie Claessens voor het eerst een versterkte wijn gemaakt gelijkend op port. Waarbij port een wijnalcohol/destillaat (vaak blanke cognac) wordt gebruikt. is er hier gewerkt met een destillaat gebruikt gestookty uit appels en kersen. Het effect is verrassend. Dze Methodo Porto heeft drie jaar gerijpt op eikenhouten vaten.
