Deze wijn, gemaakt van het druivenras Pinot Noir, komt uit de Grand Cru wijngaard "Hengst". Dit was de eerste Grand Cru uit de Elzasstreek waar ook een rode wijn gemaakt mocht worden. Mooie Intense volrode kleur, In de geur verleidelijk rood fruit en zachte tonen van het hout. De wijn heeft gedurende enige tijd gerijpt op eikenhouten vaten. Er is maar één nadeel aan deze wijn, de productie is beperkt en wij mogen per jaar maar een klein aantal flessen aankopen.
