Dit château met 20 ha wijngaard in de appelatie Fronsac, en meer bepaald gelegen in het dorp met dezelfde naam, behoort toe aan Dhr Arnaud Roux-Oulié. Het kasteel dankt zijn naam aan de keizer Charlemagne die zou gepasseerd zijn in Fronsac en daar een fort liet bouwen. Het terroir bestaat uit klei-kalk en een stuk ligt op het kalkplateau. De adviezen komen van consultant Stéphane Derenoncourt en Hannah Fiegenschuh. De wijn rijpt 30 à 40% op nieuwe eiken vaten en dit gedurende 12 à 14 maanden.
De jaargang 2020 heeft een etiket met als naam "Imagine" een ode aan The Beatles.
