Deze Colheita Terrantez is uit het oogstjaar 1987 en gebotteld en na 37 jaar op fust, gebotteld in 2024. In totaal werden er van deze Madeira 1248 flessen gebotteld ( daarnaast nog 204 halve flessen, 59 magnum flessen, 15 stuks 3.0 Ltr. en 3 flessen met 18 ltr. inhoud). Terrantez is een nog weinig voorkomende druivensoort op het eiland Madeira, de kwaliteit is echter erg hoog. Een waar genot om te mogen drinken.De druiven voor deze Madeira komen uit Câmara de Lobos. De kleur is mahonie-goud met een groene toets. In de neus erg intens en karakteristiek. Exotische houtsoorten, iets van gerookt en gedroogd fruit en oude malt whiskey. Zoet in de aanzet maar al snel komen de zuren door. Erg fris en krachtig van smaak. Op de afdronk iets van kruiden en oude brandy.

Blandy's, Madeira
Blandy's is part of the Madeira Wine Company, a family business of the Blandy's family with among others the brands Blandy's, Cossart-Gordon, Leacock's and Miles. Since 1811 the family has been present in the trade and production of Madeira wines, Chris Blandy the current CEO is the seventh generation. In the heart of Funchal, the family has its wine lodge in an old seventeenth-century monastery.
