De wijngaarden van Ribeiro Real liggen verspreid over het zuiden van het eiland. Hier groeien de stokken op zo'n 200 meter hoogt op een vulkanische bodem. De beste Tinta Negra madeira's zijn geselecteerd voor Lote 1. In de geur iets van pijnbomen, toffee met iets zoutigs en gedroogd fruit. De smaak is complex, krachtig met een nog zeer duidelijk aanwezig zuur en iets citrus-achtigs op het eind. Deze Tinta Negra is een verrassing in je glas en laat zien waartoe dit druivenras in staat is.. Van deze Madeira zijn in Juli 2016 zijn slechts 1183 flessen gebotteld.

Barbeito, Madeira
In 1946, the formation of Vinhos Barbeito was striking enough during a very difficult period for making and trading in Madeira wines. During the Second World War, trade had almost stopped, the result was that more companies stopped than they joined, but Maria Barbeito had a lot of confidence in the future. He also believed that the future of Madeira wines lay more in longer matured and Madeira wines of higher quality.
