Per stuk verpakt in houten kist. In 1947 werd de eerste verticale wijngaard in de Douro aangelegd. Dit gebeurde op een zuidelijke helling richting de Douro oever op Quinta dos Murcas. Nog steeds worden de de druiven van de inmiddels meer dan 70 jaar oude wijngaard gebruikt voor het maken van wijn. In de wijngaard staat een mix van verschillende druivensoorten door elkaar heen (field blend). Hiervan wordt de VV47 gemaakt een krachtige geconcentreerde wijn die enige rijping vraagt.
